Do you accept manuscript submissions? How picky are you about formatting?

Please see our submissions page for more information. We are now accepting email attachment submissions. If you do send a paper ms to the office, we will not return it. Please do not send postage or a SASE. We are not reading new poetry until further notice.

What's the best way to contact you?

Email is our preferred method of contact. We do not keep regular office hours and you're more likely to get a response from us if you send an email. If you are a retailer and want to order books from us directly, send a quick note with a PO number, shipping address, etc.

Why does it take so long for you to respond to a query letter or manuscript? Will you give feedback if you reject me?

Making a decision about something as important as bringing a book into the world takes time and careful thought. We don't generally like to jump into a decision, and we also want to make sure our selections for a given period of time gel with other selections we may have made. The cohesion isn't always apparent right away, and we're committed to allowing ourselves the chance to think clearly. So if expediency is important to you, we are probably not the right press for your project.

We don't mind simultaneous submissions, and ask if your project is accepted elsewhere, you please let us know.

We receive a lot of manuscripts and can't, therefore, give feedback on rejected projects.

Do you edit manuscripts?

Yes.

Where can I buy your books?

Several Colorado book stores carry GRP titles, including the Tattered Cover and Book Buffs. If our titles aren't in your favorite shop, you can order many titles from Small Press Distributors, every title from from amazon.com and bn.com and books.com, or ask your store to order. It's very important to support independent book stores and presses, so if you can, please find ways to patronize them.

Are you hiring?

Not right now.
